So this weekend we took Sammy camping for the first time in Julian with the White family... we had such a great time - and it turns out that Samuel loves camping! He was so good the whole time, and he slept really well each night in our tent, despite it dropping to the mid-40's! The first night he actually slept 7 straight hours, which was the longest he's ever gone!
We had lots of fun hiking, sitting around the campfire, going to an apple picking orchard, visiting a pumpkin patch, and strolling the downtown streets of Julian... oh, and of course we ate apple pie. :)

He is officially 2 months old now - and 2 days. Yesterday was his check-up at the Doctor's... he got three shots into his legs and cried a lot. :( The Dr. said he's looking perfectly healthy, which is great! So our guess was right - he is 13 pounds exactly! And he's 24" long (in the 94th percentile of height) - looks like he might grow up to be really tall!

Oh, the bandaids on his leg. . . so sad, but so cute! Sounds and looks like camping was alot of fun. 7hrs straight one night - that's awesome!
What a lot of fun!!! I am glad it all went so well, except for your mattress problem. Thanks for sharing the cute photos. I can't wait to plant some kisses on those poor bandaged thighs. What a love bug!!!
aww. I am the mean nurse who gives babies those shots! Sammy is a little trooper! I love him!
