Swim Lessons

Day 1: Tears, tears & more tears! I don't know if it was the new environment, or the combination of 78 degree water with 60 degree outside air... but, Sammy survived! He needed his paci and had a death-grip on his wubbie the entire time in the water. Makes me wonder if comfort silkie should come out with waterproof security blankets? :) I'm still so proud of my little guy! :) Lets pray tomorrow goes a little bit better!
Day 2: Well, God definitely heard my prayers! I prayed Sammy wouldn't cry as much on day 2, and that he wouldn't "need" his paci & wubbie with him in the water, and that we'd both have fun with swim lessons - and I'm so thankful that exactly this happened! Samuel had fun blowing bubbles, bouncing in the water, learning to "float" on his tummy (with my assistance) and "scooping" his hands in the water. He really loved doing the "crab walk;" holding on and sliding along the edge of the pool. He was even comfortable enough to do it without me holding on to him! I'm so proud of him!!! :)
Day 3: The water felt a little cooler today! Maybe that's why there were a few more tears than yesterday? But overall, Sam did great! That's 1 week down, & 1 to go! I just love my little swimmer so much!

GREAT JOB, SAMMY!!! Keep up the good work, and soon you'll be as good a swimmer as Stryder! Remember... He used to be scared of the water, too!

Way to go Sammy! We are proud of you. You will have to teach Laylie how to swim soon. I am so glad your Comfort Silkie can bring you comfort through the lessons. The cutest thing ever!!! We love you!

It was so fun to walk with you, Jessica, and enjoy your adorable boy! No wonder his Grammie is SO in love with him!

It's also fun to read about his swim lessons as we talked about that as we walked.

I'm feeling proud of the progress he's made. Good job Mom, for hanging in there, even when he wasn't so happy the first day!

Can't wait to hear about his second week :)
