The Big Move

Sammy decided he wanted to start sleeping in his big boy room on Friday, March 25th. :) Of course, it was a little rough at first, but over the past 2 weeks, he has adjusted really well to his new room and he now acknowledges that his old room is now "baby Micah's room." :)

Here are 2 cute pictures of our little guy this morning... he seems so little in this big bed!

A couple of posts ago, we talked about how we wanted him to stop using his beloved "paci" before moving into his big boy bed... just one thing at a time, you know! ;) Well, we finally decided to follow the "bye-bye-binky" method of getting rid of a pacifier and it worked wonders! Never did we have one tear, or one tantrum from him... amazing!

Here's his one paci pictured below. You can't tell, but there are little holes poked in it and one hole cut on the end - all which caused him to stop using his pacifier. :) He still likes to hold it sometimes when he falls asleep, which is fine with us, because he doesn't use it in his mouth and we're guessing he'll soon not care as much about holding it in bed. I love that our little guy is a big boy now! I'm not sad in the least bit... probably because we've got his baby brother coming to fill that role in just 2+ months!

The picture below was taken at naptime on March 2nd, believe it or not! It's so funny now to look at this picture of our big boy sleeping in the crib with his paci. Change can happen so quickly, it seems!

And this is how "Micah's room" looks now... it seems pretty empty to me, especially when comparing it to how it looked when Samuel slept in here! I'm excited to start turning this room into Micah's own special nursery. :)
