Micah rolled over for the first time last Saturday (tummy to back!)! He was having tummy time on the floor in his room while I was tidying up his closet, when I noticed he was leaning really far to one side... before I could shout to Andrew to come and see, gravity got the best of him and he flipped over to his back. :) What a cutie!
Micah also loves to grab his toes. Every time he lays on his back, he grabs both feet instantly. He especially loves to do this while I'm changing his diaper. :) Micah moved into his own room on September 28th, and he sleeps really well in his crib. He loves to look at the mobile hanging above. On most nights he sleeps 'through the night' - going about 7-9 hours in the first stretch. Although he has been known to go about 10-11 hours between feedings on a handful of nights!
He really enjoys sucking on his paci, but also loves his fists & fingers, when he can get them! He is drooling a ton, so me-thinks some teeth might be coming about in one of these upcoming weeks! :) Micah also enjoys sucking and chomping his gums on his teething ring (something Sammy never quite took to!)
On October 5th, we tried out the exersaucer/entertainer with Micah for the first time. Now, he's a pro at it and can slowly turn himself around to look at and play with all the toys. He still will only stay in there for a max of about 10 minutes, and then he lets us know that he's done with it. :)
Some of my other favorite 4-month old moments of Micah are when:
He holds his hands clasped together when he nurses...
He sleeps so good at night! Just 1 waking most every night!..
He makes a little "cough" sound just so he can get my attention!..
He laughs when I tickle and kiss his tummy, neck and armpits!.. Micah is nursing on average, about every 2 1/2 hours or so during the day. He takes a bottle really well from Daddy when I'm gone at hula or Bible study. He still spits up after most feedings, but thankfully its not a lot! We've learned to keep a burp cloth close at hand!
He still enjoys being swaddled at nap and bedtimes, with his paci and wubbie (Comfort Silkie security blanket) next to his cheek, so he can bury his little face in it when he falls asleep. Driving in the car is still one of his LEAST favorite activities, whereas he'd much rather be held (who wouldn't?). The car rides have been a challenge for all of us, but we're learning to cope! I want to say, though, that he is getting a tad bit better at it... perhaps? Especially now that he has started to actually play with toys a bit more!
We love you sweet baby boy! You are such a precious baby! Don't grow up too fast on us! :)

Micah is so precious and sweet. What a wonderful blessing from God. We love you dearest Micah!!! Xxoo
I'm back to reading (and updating) blogs - yeah! And what a fun post - I can't wait to see Micah more active, playing with his toys - can't believe it. So fun :)
When Micah plays football, I think his jersey number should be... 97!
What do you think...? Offensive tackle? Why, nothing about this darling boy will be offensive ;-)
Wow, what a solid little monkeylove. And how considerate of him to sleep through the night!
I agree with your "don't grow up too fast!" sentiment... babies definitely have a way of doing just that, & this sweet time in his babyhood is so precious. :-)
Jessica, see how much Micah looks like you in the after bath pic. He's such a doll! I need kisses!!!
