Get ready for quite a long post... mostly because of the many photos that I have to share with you all. :)
On Wednesday, May 29th, we celebrated Samuel on his last night of Cubbies as he was presented with his award of completing his first year in Awana. This year in Awana, Samuel worked very hard and memorized over 24 Bible verses! He loved earning his patches and stickers all year long, and loved that now he had earned his own little Cubbie Bear for his vest. He was so proud and had me sew it on that very night. Sometimes you'll still see him wearing his vest around the house, and I even caught him napping in it one day. :)
Samuel with his two Cubbie buddies, AJ & Callie.

In other May news, we've been spending a lot of time outdoors. Samuel helped me plant a beautiful organic Roma tomato plant, which has really taken off! You can see it in the picture below... we must have over 20 budding tomatoes on it already!
Samuel & Micah love riding bikes. They are constantly running outside and playing chase on their bikes and cars.
Outside fun also means helping Daddy mow the lawn. :) I remember when Sam used to do that a couple years ago... now its Micah's turn!
And who would have thought that a squirt bottle on a warm day is like the best thing ever? Especially when you're squirting Mommy. :)
Just look at the JOY on his face! Haha!
Every Friday... is trash truck day. The boys wave enthusiastically to all the trash truck drivers and Micah can't get enough of watching them come up and down the whole street.
In May we also visited Sea World with our good friend Ben. We had a great time with a full day of Sea World fun.
Here Micah is posing with Teddy oh so classically slung over his shoulder... :) Is he a little GQ man, or what?

Speaking of Micah, I just wanted to briefly highlight the lovely mess that goes hand-in-hand with little boys.
You can kind of get a glimpse of how he looks after eating his morning yogurt. This boy loves his yogurt! But after about halfway through the cup, he ditches the spoon and digs in with his fingers. So much easier!
And here, I have no idea what he was eating, but he sure did love it.

And last, but not least, lets talk about brotherly love. Of course there are good moments and bad moments, but I try to post pictures mostly of the good moments, as you can see below...
...snuggling on the couch....
...And reading books together.
As some of you may know, sometimes Samuel can get very affectionate. Especially when his little brother doesn't seem to mind.
So Samuel takes advantage of those moments and gives Micah lots of kisses...
...and to our surprise, Micah turned and gave him one right back! I snapped this shot just before Sammy jumped back and exclaimed to me, "Mommy! Did you take that picture when Micah was about to bite me?!" :) Hehe... No, Sam, that was a kiss!
This is one happy, thankful, and tired mommy signing out... until next time! :)
