Fearfully and Wonderfully

We are thrilled to announce that baby Davidson #3 will be making his or her debut in January, 2014!  Get ready, folks!  

Our first doctors appointment & ultrasound was scheduled on the morning of my birthday.  I couldn't have asked for a sweeter birthday present, than to catch our first glimpse of this little baby - - healthy, strong and growing!

At the appointment, baby measured about 2 centimeters long (almost one inch) and had a strong heartbeat of about 171 beats per minute!  What a tiny miracle!  

This was the first time we were allowed to take a video of the ultrasound!  Its so exciting to be able to show all of you our little one in motion...  (well, as much motion as a sleeping baby does...)  In this video you can really see baby's heart beating!  (Baby's head is on the right)

Watching these videos reminds me of Psalm 139:13-16

"For You created my inmost being; 

You knit me together in my mother's womb.  

I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; 

Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  

My frame was not hidden from You 

when I was made in the secret place, 

when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.  

Your eyes saw my unformed body; 

all the days ordained for me were written in your book 

before one of them came to be."
