To help you get an idea of the amount of craziness in this place, here are a few pictures...
It was a fun time had with friends...
...and family
...jumping, playing dodgeball, dunking basketballs, and leaping into foam pits.
We ended our jumping fun with some party-time cupcakes & singing.
I made two kinds of cupcakes for the party... chosen by the boys... Dark Chocolate cupcakes (from scratch). Half of them donned a cookies & cream buttercream frosting, and the other half were topped with a creamy peanut butter frosting (then sprinkled with Oreo halves & Reeses peanut butter cup bits). They were delish!!! And the most popular ones? Turned out to be the Oreo. Who woulda thought?
Samuel chose the Reeses cupcakes,
and Micah chose the Oreo.
Some of the party goers came back to our house afterwards to watch the boys open gifts. :) So much fun!
As one of the party favors, I made these cool "3" and "6" sugar cookies for each guest. (Thanks to my Mom for the cookie cutters!) This was my second attempt ever working with royal icing... a bit easier than the first time, thankfully! (It had been 3 years since I made royal icing... my first time was here for Samuel's 3rd birthday.) This time, I followed Alton Brown's suggestion and "pasteurized" my own eggs at home for the recipe. Crazy?! Who knew that could be done at home? You learn something new every day...
And what about Miss Kendall Rose? She was an angel at the party. Smiling and being passed around from loving arms to loving arms. What a doll she is! Such a good baby.

Now, what about the Micah's real birthday? We didn't forget about him then! June 18th was a day all about Micah and celebrating the treasure that he is!
We decorated his bedroom door and the downstairs with streamers & balloons. We had The Birthday Song blasting when he came downstairs, as is tradition in our house. :) We treated him to a VG's breakfast, and spent the day at one of his favorite places, the Botanical Gardens.
(FYI, below you are witnessing just an ounce of his excitement. He was practically screaming with excitement & laughter that it was his birthday! And my favorite part? Every time I wished him a "Happy Birthday," he said "Happy Birthday to you, Mommy" right back to me. :) What a sweety.
Want a glimpse of the morning fun? Watch this...
At the Gardens... :)
Later that afternoon we had a handful of surprises for him to open. :)
And a specially-requested "Beckett" birthday cake (from his favorite show at the time, Henry Hugglemonster).
Yay for fun birthdays! :)
