This Monday, August 31, was Samuel's first day of 1st grade! Over the weekend I kept asking him what he thought about school starting on Monday and he would always say he was very excited! I think at one point we were literally jumping up and down because of his excitement!
So Monday came, and our sweet just-turned 7-year-old got all ready for school. (I think at that point he was a little nervous because he couldn't eat much of his breakfast). Every year we take this photo of him standing by the chalkboard & the front door. Here's the 2015 version with all of his current favorites:

His first day went great! All our prayers were answered and we are so thankful that he can go to such a great school, with wonderful, caring teachers. Now it will just take this mama some time to get used to my baby being gone until 3:10pm each day!

Wednesday, September 2 was Micah's first day of Pre-K! He is going to the same preschool as last year, but he was excited about his new classroom and new teachers, Miss Penny & Miss Gerry! Here is Micah posing by the chalkboard for his first day of school.

We are so thankful that everything went so well for Samuel and Micah's first days of school. They are growing up far too fast for Grammy and Gramps! But we love every minute we get to share with them and look forward to each new adventure. We share your pride and rejoice that they are both such fine boys that love Jesus. We love them and darling Kendall with all our hearts!
