Micah's 5th Birthday!

Happy 5th Birthday Micah!

On Saturday, June 18th, our darling Micah Caedmon turned 5!  What a blessing this little boy is to us.  Has it been 5 years already?!  Micah is loving, fun, affectionate, creative, smart, passionate, joyful, & bright.  He loves to wrestle, play silly stuff, build legos, read books, play cars, race, jump in the trampoline & watch shows!  He is natural born leader and loves playing with his siblings.  We are excited to see what this year will have in store for our little guy!

We have a few family traditions we do for our kids birthdays - - one of them is waking them up with the "Happy Birthday" song by the Beatles and dancing!  (This song was played on birthday mornings in my house when we were growing up!)  Plus, we always decorate their doorways & the family room with streamers, balloons, banners & birthday gifts.  Micah remembered that the downstairs was going to be decorated for his birthday, so he was really excited the night before!

He told me at bedtime with a big smile on his face that 'Santa' was going to bring a special little Lightning McQueen loop-de-loop toy that he saw at the store and really wanted...  (Sooo 'Santa' woke up at 6am the next morning and drove to the store to get it and wrap it for him...!)  Ha!

Here is Micah posing with some of his birthday gifts!  Look, a Lightning McQueen loop-de-loop track!!!  Then Andrew and I gifted him with his very first Bible!  At the Kindergarten class at church, he earns an extra 'buck' if he brings his Bible.  :)

Everyone loves celebrating birthdays in this house!  It took Kendall a while to figure out how to work the blowers...

Micah even got his very own set of beginner golf clubs!  Now he can go golfing with his big brother & Daddy!

We made cinnamon rolls & strawberries for breakfast - Micah's favorite!  Then we stuck a candle in Micah's cinnamon roll and sang Happy Birthday to him.

As a surprise, we took the kids to Legoland for Micah's birthday!  The kids have been wanting to come here so badly - it had been years since we've gone.  Micah was very surprised and loved it!  We spent most of the day in the Legoland Waterpark and the kids loved all the slides & splash pools.

The next day we invited both families over for a birthday bbq.  The cousins jumped in the trampoline, swam in a little inflatable pool in the backyard and had fun playing together.

Micah asked for vanilla cake with chocolate frosting.  Sammy & I thought to surprise him we'd fill the cake with m&m's!

I think this is one happy birthday boy!  What a special birthday weekend!  Oh how we love him so!
 xoxo Micah!!!
