Sewing Season

Its the start of sewing season, officially!  And my first project, is something I've been wanting to do for a long time.  I've been wanting to make curtains for this window for a couple years now, and I finally found the right fabric (with the right sale & coupon!) to use.  

This is the before picture...  I had this sheer panel swagged across the window.

And here is the after!  I chose a sage green & off-white damask patterned fabric and made two panels to frame this huge window.  :)  

I kind of like them closed too... it still lets in enough light and doesn't make the room too dark.   

I have 1 yard of the fabric left, and my plan is to recover the armoir door panels in the above pictures soon.  Once I find the time, I'll post another picture of the finished project!  Until then, I wish you all an early Happy Valentines Day!
