Yesterday was an especially nice day. God was so good and protected our son during his adenoidectomy and (2nd) ear tube surgery. Because of that, Andrew stayed home from work (which is a rarity during tax season!) to help care for our little guy. Sammy was super brave and came out of it as well as anyone could imagine. We can already tell that he is hearing so much better, now that there is no more fluid trapped his ears! Praise God! We are in amazement because our boy can now hear a soft whisper from across the room, whereas there was no way he'd hear that before; and it just makes us smile now that he can hear us the first time we ask or tell him something without having to talk "louder" than normal.
Thank you to all our family & friends for your prayers over our precious boy yesterday! :)
Another plus of having Andrew home yesterday was it being a rainy day. Who doesn't love a rainy day at home? Especially when the whole family is together. Well, not only did we get a rainy day & night together - we got hail!!! Super loud hail! This picture was taken at midnight or so last night... it was so loud it woke us up in our beds! When I was laying in bed listening to the loud pounding of the hail on our roof, I couldn't help but think about how powerful our God is. He created the heavens & the earth - and holds all of it in His mighty hands.
Thank you God for being so powerful and mighty; so strong and so awesome. For creating the heavens and the earth, and causing rain to fall. And at the same time, thank you for caring for us and our little ones in the times that we need you most. You are so good!
