I'm thrilled I finally found the time to finish sewing this pillow. :) I had made curtains and covered some armoir doors with this same fabric back in February, and was left with just a little strip of the fabric. So the plan was to make a pillow, and I'm so happy that now all is said & done.
Andrew helped me pick the design of fabric, deciding on a brickwork pattern. Using the scraps of leftover fabric plus snapping up a down pillow form from my mom who was giving it away, allowed this to be a very inexpensive project! I ended up only spending $5.31 for some pretty, off-white linen to make the new pillowcase.
And I'm so thankful for the snippets of time that I have here & there to sit down at my sewing machine. Its a lot of fun being creative & making something new.
And with that, sewing season has come to an end... until next year!

awww, sewing season's not over yet... nuh-uh, no way! (you were just given more fabric, yes? & isn't the fabric begging to be sewn into something? ha!)
& i sprang for new bobbins for both sewing machines... won't you just be itchin' to fill yours with assorted colorful threads? (i certainly am!) ;-) the viking bobbins arrived this last friday; wasn't the order placed 3 days earlier, on tuesday? whoa, baby! talk about fast! :-)
