Micah IS walking!

So Micah is now walking around everywhere!  :)  He's entertained the idea of walking for several weeks now (after taking his first steps on July 22), and then just decided to stick with it as of last Wednesday, August 22!  Since he is still a newbie walker, he walks with his legs very wide apart, and holds his arms out in front of him for balance.  He's still much faster when he crawls, but he's getting better at walking every day!  In this video, you can tell he's quite happy with himself!  :)

Micah has recently LOVED reading books.  Micah would probably sit and read books all day long, especially if he's being read to.  His favorite book is called Truck Driver Tom, and I highly recommend it for any little boys out there who like trucks!  We first discovered it from the library, but after seeing how much Micah loved it, we had to get him his own copy.  I only wish it was a board book instead of having paper pages.  I've already used a good share of packaging tape on it to piece the pages back together.  We bought it for him only a couple weeks ago, and it already looks well-loved!  

I honestly think Micah's passion for books is rubbing off on his big brother, because the other day Micah and I were playing outside, and instead, Sammy decided he would rather sit in his wagon and read a big pile of books to himself!  :)  

And below is a cute photo - Micah was snuggling with me on the couch, but I needed a moment to finish putting dinner together... and the only way I could sneak away was to arrange a bunch of pillows and carefully transfer Micah to them, so he thought he was still being snuggled by his Momma!  It didn't last all that long... he saw me snap this picture and then realized I wasn't holding him and came crawling back to me.  :)  Luckily, I still managed to get dinner in the oven.  :)

In other news, I LOVE that our new plumeria plant is blooming now!  It produces the most beautiful, sweet smelling, pink flowers that I love wearing in my hair.  My hula teacher gifted this plant to us when Micah was born.   What a beautiful gift!
